I want to be a graphic designer.

i want to go to college and be a video game maker. what are the chances of becoming one? i heard lots of people want to do it.

The header of your question says you want to be a graphic designer. The body says you want to be a video game designer. Make up your mind. The two are completely different and have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Your chances of becoming whichever you are actually talking about depend on how good you are, and how you present yourself to potential employers once you graduate.

I would highly recommend that you take an internship, paid or unpaid, at some point during the course of your college career.
