I want to be a lawyer.. is virginia tech the place for me?

can i get into a good law school graduating from tech, or would i be better off at another school?

  1. Whether or not the university has a law school is irrelevant.  Law schools simply look at the overall rank of your school and multiply your GPA by a "quality score" which is determined by school rank.  They add that number to your LSAT score which is also multiplied by a certain number.  That provides an admission quotient.  VT is a great school, especially if you are studying engineering or something of that sort.  There is a startling diversity of degrees which are represented at the various law schools around the US.


  2. Don't know if you can get in but if I were going for Law School I would try William & Mary.  I phoned Virginia Tech and they do not have a Law Program.  

  3. VT is a pretty good school, but University of Virginia seems to be better. Most law schools don't look too hard at where you're coming from, but so long as you're not in a third-rate college (which VT is not) you'll be ok. Just have a high GPA and good luck and study hard for the LSAT.
