  1. No, you won't be a "ufc dude" for a long time.. but you can join MMA. Doesn't matter how much you bench press, that has nothing to do with it. Start with something like kickboxing for your standup and then take a grappling martial art like Brazilian Jiu-jitsu or wrestling. From what you said it sounds like you have never done martial arts so you won't be in the UFC for a long time. UFC is professional fighters that have trained a good 10 years before competing in it.

  2. you should try hooligans boxing club in fort gibson oklahoma. prolly the best place to go

  3. dude 6'1, 145 lbs!!!

thats really light, you should gain at least 20-30 lbs.

  4. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) for ground work. Boxing/Kickboxing/Muay Thai for stand up and clench. Try to find a martial art school or gym in your area that teaches classes.

Here is a site to locate martial arts studios:

    http://www.martialbase.com/

  5. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or Submission Grappling + Stand Up arts

Some good stand up arts that you may be interested in are Muay Thai, Western Boxing, and Kickboxing

  6. yeah your kinda skinny for your height in mma.Put on some weight and do brazilian jiu jitsu and kick boxing or some sort of striking, and youll be good.

  7. how old are you? that's a little light for mma. right now you would be like a bantam weight and you are a little to tall for that. those short 145ers will be to strong for you. you need to gain some weight. lift weights eat alot of protein and calories. also start your training in BJJ and a striking art. muscle up to about 180 and you will be a bad dude in no time!
