I want to be a model but...(what should i do?)?

I want to be a model,and i am graduating in a couple of months.But my parents said that i HAVE to go to college,and get a degree,of something.They just told me that out there in the real world,without a college degree,that i will have a hard time with money,and that i will end up in McDonald's(my whole family tells me that).But me,in the other hand,feels as if i will be very sucessful with modeling,and i will get alot of money for it.That is what i want to do in life.I'll be happy then.But still they don't understand,they're gonna MAKE me go to college,and study something i dont want to study or do something that i dont want to do in life.They just don't care about what makes me happy.Thy just want me t do what they want me to do.I know they want the best for me,but don't they want me to be happy?I don't know what i should do.What should i do?

I kinda want to do something similar but I want to go to Cosmetology school (which doesn't require a degree) it just requires beauty school.

But I am going to go there as soon as I am out of highschool and then go to college for something with animals just incase the cosmetology thing doesn't work out or vise versa, but you should definetly go to college just so you can have something to fall back on if the modeling thing doesn't work out even though I hope it does work for you but you never know about those agencies and stuff.

Is there anyway to do both? If there is, in case the modeling doesn't work out, you have a back-up plan. (not saying that it won't work out or anything) Just have something to fall on.

to be a Tyra Banks, modeling careers are over

by the time you're like 23. You should be able

to follow whichever you career you want, just have a plan

and show your family that you know what you're doing and show them

You asked the question so I will tell you what I feel you should do. Go to college and model part time. You can't just decide lightly I want to be a model you need coaching, modeling is not just about a pretty face and height it takes a lot more than that. Your education should be first modeling is based on looks first and you can loose them just as quick as you were born with them. So if modeling is really something you want to do by all means do it and be the best at it you still need to pursuit a education. Good Luck with your FUTURE!!
