  1. The subject you want to teach then do that at degree level. Then I think you have to do some teaching course, think.

    Brutal is right though.


  2. You will need to progress onto a degree (in primary education with QTS) and primary school teachers teach a wide range of national curriculum subjects.

    good qualifications in maths and science are always looked upon favourably, but as long as you study a national curriculum subject you should be fine.

    Also - if you over 19 when you commence your Alevels, then you can do an access course instead of A levels, they do a good access course called access to HE - education and teaching which will really prepare you for your degree.
