The Moroccan midfielder has signalled his intent to secure a starting role at the helm and challenge for honours after a lacklustre campaign last time out.
During the Championship days at Loftus Road, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adel-Taarabt-c3610 was the standout player amongst the plethora of names, being the skipper as well the team’s talisman.
Blessed with ingenuity and uncommon skill on the ball, the Premier League was to be the grand stage for his sublime performances, but a late move to Paris Saint-Germain nearly ruined his career in London.
Distracted by off-field issues, Taarabt was stripped of the captaincy and hardly played under Mark Hughes. However the tactician opted to resurrect the player’s career and gave him a chance to impress, an opportunity which he took with both hands.
Slowly but surely he began to rise up the ranks and ended the season on a high. Furthermore, he extended his stay at the club and is now committed to finding success with the Hoops, who have strengthened considerably during the summer.
“I think I have matured as a player and was happy to sign a new contract. There have been a lot of new faces, with all the signings and these are some exciting times. I want to be part of that. The club is getting bigger and bigger, with a new training ground
and talk of a new stadium,” the Moroccan International was quoted as saying.
Although no longer wearing the armband, Taarabt is still the fulcrum in attack when it comes to the Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 team and should look to turn around a woeful opening day clash into something more positive.
Thrashed 5-0 by Swansea, the club have shot themselves in the foot and will need to improve considerably if they are to challenge for mid-table finish at the end of the season.
New signings will go a long way in contributing to that, especially the backline, which has been subject of many changes in the past few years. Now the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Dawson-c25288 might be lining up together in the
future, if QPR finally manage to spare everyone the tabloid news and complete the remaining deals.
