  1. Approximate annual salaries for photographers range from $14,600 for the bottom ten percent to $50,000 for the top ten percent. In 2002, middle earnings were around $24,000. Numbers vary according to industry, with periodical and newspaper industries providing the highest salaries and scientific and other professional services providing the lowest. Some photographers who work for high-end magazines may earn much higher numbers.

  2. Take your dream, multiply it by a billion, and that's how many people want the same thing that you want.

  3. If being a photographer is your passion, you will not care if you're poor from it. Many artists these days do not have much money WHAT so ever. Photographer's make plenty of money -- when they go to college and major in photography. Free-lance photographers, sometimes are not viewed as "credible" for the job, unless you have an astonishing portfolio in your hands. Don't give up, photography is amazing. I suggest majoring in it, once you get to college if that is your dream. But if you want to go free-lance, do not expect aton of money to be pouring out of your pockets. That is just the life of an artist.

  4. If you really did love photography you wouldn't care how much money you made off it.

I'd do it for free! I love it.

  5. I will let you decide after this little story:

"What's the difference between a pizza and a pro photographer"???

Answer: The pizza can fed a family of four.

  6. photograph has it's values when you can not retake the same picture.

example - 10years later if you show a good picture of a view of / from house that has been demolished - of show picture some one still young - ronald reagan picture in 1970s - mr george bush picture in 1960s  it will worth a lot more than a pizza.

you normally get only $20 - $ 30/hour for taking nice picture - but the picture may worth more as time passes.

but it's not easy to live just from plain photography - you need to have real business - eg- fashion / pizza / cafe and photography is a side business that supports your business.
