  1. A radiologist is a medical doctor, therefore, you must prepare yourself to enter medical school. During high school, make sure you take all the AP science courses such as Bio, Chem, and Physics to prepare you for college classes. Even though you may earn a perfect 5 out of 5 on the AP Exam, don't exempt out in college, medical schools do not take AP credits for prerequisites.

I also recommend to engage in after school activities such as debate team or Model UN. Both help develop your skills needed as a doctor since most of our time is spent educating patients. Try to obtain leadership roles in clubs which is equally important as well.

After high school, enroll in a good quality college. Doesn't necessarily have to be the very best, the top 40 will do just fine. In college, you may decide to take whatever major that interest you, just keep in mind that you do need to complete at least 1 year of biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, English, and half year of calculus for med school prerequisites. Join similar clubs you took in HS, and try to gain leadership roles once more. In addition, it's vital that you volunteer in hospitals for the entire 4 years in college, med school will inquire about that. During the summer time, it's also important to do some medical research, they will look for that as well.

  2. The best person to talk to would be your guidance counselor.  You can maybe talk to somone who works as a radiologist too.
