Well - with out hair spray, mouse or any products like that it will be hard to keep your styling in place.

They don't really damage your hair, really - only if you use EXCESSIVE ammount :/

First you need to get your hair straight - straigheners, blowdrying etc.

Or maybe it is naturally straight.

Then you need to "tease" your hair - using a brush (preferably a teasing comb) you need to:

lift up a section of your hair.

starting from the root quickly brush you hair the oppesite way to normal whilst working down to the end of you hair.

If you use hair products - this will be much more effective.

I used to do my hair without layers - it turned out alrite :)

try looking stuff up on youtube for it - that is good.
