  1. I am a vegetarian, but i can still eat dairy food and eggs (because they are not meat). I'm really healthy and strong.

  2. go to www.peta.org and you can find a lot of information about becoming a vegetarian and helping the animals. along with some very disturbing videos.

  3. Visit a dairy and see for yourself.

    Don't wear good shoes.

  4. first of all

to wats: you cannot be a vegan if you consume dairy and ESPECIALLY meat of any kind.

vegans do not eat or use in any form ANY animal products.  That means if you eat only vegetables and absolutely no meat or any other stuff that came from any animal or insect but you wear leather of any kind you cannot be a vegan.

    In answer to the question

if you cannot give up dairy but want to help animals.  Then I would suggest that everytime you buy dairy you can set aside a percentage of the cost of that dairy product.  At the end of the year all that money you set aside you can use to donate to an animal rights organization or an organization that is concerned with the protection and wellfare of endangered species.

  5. I'm a vegan myself (for the most part) but I will eat dairy (and meat on occasion, like deer) when I know where it is coming from and how the animals are kept.

If you have a local farmer's market in your town, head out and talk to some of the farmers. Find out if there is a coop in your town. Buy locally. Most small farms treat their animals appropriately. If you buy straight from them, you know where it is coming from and how the animals are being treated vs. buying commercially from who knows where. Plus, you are supporting your local farmers and their families.

  6. Show me the proof that conditions are bad.  Help ASPCA avoid PETA.

  7. I wish I could tell you that none of the animals are treated badly but it is a SLAUGHTER house. There is no humaine way to kill an animal, you just kill them. 99% of  slaughter houses by law knock out the animal first then they kill them. But all is not lost, I agree to go to the local farmer and buy from them. Only reason is because I used to do alittle farming and I treated my animals as nice as I could, one because I am not that mean and two I wanted my products to be the best out there. As far as being veggietarian I couldn't do it but to each is own. You will have to take some pills to get certain vitamins and or minerals that you can only get from animals like B12 - B6 that you body needs. I cook for some families and one of them the whole family is vegan, nothing in their house is from an animal, no milk, eggs, cheese, jello, nothing. And they are nice and healthy. If you want to learn more on being a veggetarian go to this website. Not only do I get some of my recipes here but they have been tring to convert me over to the dark side sence I started cooking for them.

ps dont trust animal rights websites for correct information about slaughter houses, you don't ask a janitor what is the safest way to  fly the plane, because of course they are only going to show you all the bad videos, my suggestion is to go to a slaughter house or its website and get the info for you self (make sure you realy want the info before you go) then talk to people who are vegans and how they live their life. Then make a decision for yourself.

  8. Well If you become a vegetarian you will need to check out information on what your should be eating instead of meat. It is possible to get all the goodness from other foods that are not meat, its just a matter of having a balanced diet.

You asked how you can help animals, well by not eating them you are helping them of course. We all make a difference.

Also you could buy products not tested on animals is another  way to help. Also you could adopt a pet from your local shelter and give it a good home.

There are many ways you can help animals, check out the Peta website.

    Good luck

    Becky
