  1. why do u want to be a plant eater?no meat any meat is how u start.everytime u think of eating meat u picture them as your grands that'll do.you're not sure just try eating just baked beans for a week n nothing else then only u consider to be a cow.moo.moo.

  2. i know what u mean:(

  3. go to borders or your local bookstore and go to the food section and get "How to cook everything vegetarian" it is bright green .

it is a hugeeeeee book with everything you need to know !

    :)

  4. well vegetarians in my view are hypocrites. Im vegan.

Vegetarians just don't eat red meat. So any kind of bird fish or seafood isn't off limits if your going to be a vegetarian. If you really care about animal and want to be vegan than i would say props for you!

  5. I am just curious as to why you would want to be a vegetarian when you seem to know very little about it. I mean how can you want to be something when you don't even know what that something is or what it is all about.  Like saying "I want to be a lawyer.. What's a lawyer anyway?..."

  6. Hi Jane.  Go to www.chooseveg.com, that is what I did and I made the switch in one day - literally.  Now I am Vegan.  Never felt better in my life.  And check out Amy's Organics frozen meals...many are Vegetarian/Vegan and the taste is out of this world.  Gardenburger's "Riblets" are REALLY good and Morningstar Farms has Vegan chick'n strips that come in a bag.  Use them in any recipe that calls for chicken, or heat them up and put them on a sandwich...they are so good!

  7. Look at the meat and say NO!

if that doesn't work (no willpower?)

imagine the chicken as it was a live and a man taking a hammer and crushing its head, then using a hacksaw removes the head, the peels the flesh off with his dirty finger nails...

if you have a vivid imagination, you will never want it again, unless you are twisted in the head like me, then you might just use will power (like i did) or don't buy it.

  8. u can eat any vege or fruit and try making some tasty dishes outta it by checking out some cook book.. and for ur craving part.. everytime u want to eat chicken, picturise the  the poor thing when its alive and how they just chop of its head and all the cruel things which is too gross to give details abt.. and ur craving will vanish! start 1 thing at a time, start by cutting the no of times u eat meat a week and u'll gradually end up eating only once a week then u'll see no need to eat it wen u can make yummy vege foods!

  9. if u want to be vegetarian u cant eat any sort of  meat or fish or bugs. being vegetarian is not that much hard. initially it will be hard for u. but once u get used to it., it will be great,

u can eat beans, nuts, potato, vegetables, mushrooms. to spice things up a bit u can try some Indian vegetarian dishes. they are really spicy and good rather than being blunt.. u can just search Indian vegetarian recipe online. u  will be amazed if u try their very simple dishes.

some are strictly vegetarian who doesn’t eat any thing which comes from animal like eggs or milk. or cheese. but if u don’t want to be that much strict then u can eat these.

Don’t stick to your daily diet. Try new vegetarian foods of different country. Then u can change it easily.

  10. It took me over 3 months to stop eating meat.  Its been about 9 months since that and I haven't got a craving yet.

Just stay with it you'll kill the craving soon.

  12. I've been vegetarian for about 26 years and I feel better that no animal has died to feed me I don't feel like a hypocrite saying what beautiful animals they are then eating them  that night for dinner it is a really good feeling  the animals aren't suffering because of me and I feel that I'm a better person because of this.protein is important eat plenty of beans, nuts whole grain foods vegetables and salad but most importantly keep you iron levels up a supplement like floradix floravital is important

  13. Why?

Contrary to what you may have heard, it's not a healthy dietary lifestyle, nor is there any evidence or real facts that suggest it is. Most dietitians and nutritionists will tell you that maintaining a well and properly balanced diet is always a far better option. A properly balanced diet is in the neighborhood of about 70 - 80% vegetarian, and 20-30% meat and dairy. Before making drastic diet changes, I would recommend seeking the advice of a Registered Diatition, a Certified Nutritionist, or at the very least a nutrition text book to do some personal research.

If your motivation is political, not eating meat doesn't really change or help anything. Short of wild game, all meat in the food supply chain (in the US anyway) comes from animals that are bread and raised for the specific pourpose of becoming food. Should demand go down, feedlots and slaughter houses simply slow down production until demand rises again but no animals are freed or let go they just simply aren't born.

  14. To end cravings for meat, find other foods that satisfy your protein needs as well as that chicken you've been craving. For me, a bean burrito helps, but there are other ways to get protein other than from beans and peanut butter.

Do some research on the nutritional content of various foods, and eat those that contain protein. These include rice, potatoes, nuts, and even many vegetables and fruits.

You might also want to investigate vegetarian protein powder as a supplement to your diet while you're transitioning to vegetarianism.

You don't say whether you're including milk or eggs in your vegetarian diet. Both are high in protein and may ease your transition if your eventual goal is to become vegan.

By the way, I don't know of any vegetarian using fish or poultry and feel it is a mistake to call people eating them 'vegetarian'. That's simply inaccurate. To be a vegetarian is to decide to eat foods that do not involve the taking of an animal's life.
