I want to be a weather forecaster on the news, how?

Do they go to college for meterology or Broadcasting? Can anyone give me a little insight into this job. Thanks

There is a difference between a weather forecaster and a weather presenter.

If it is forecasting that you are interested in you will need the sciences as a qualification.

If it is presenting, you will need to find a route into television, a coarse in media studies may help you.

Around here they are usually meteorologists.  Every TV station has 4 or 5 where I live in Oklahoma.
