  1. There is no "wedding planner" degree that I know of. Your best bet is to go to school for a business degree, either 2 or 4 years. It's wonderful that you are so young and know what you want your career to be. You'll probably be more successful in a larger city. Just read wedding books, magazines, and wedding related websites to keep up with what is in and what brides want. You'll have to have close contacts with djs, photographer/videographers, florists, etc. Remember that it is a very stressful job and you'll come in contact with many bridezillas. You'll need a lot of patience. Talk to other wedding planners about this career and maybe even ask them to follow them around for a day to get a grasp of what is expected and what you will have to do.

  2. Some of the technical schools offer a certificate program in Bridal Consulting and such. It would be good to get one of those certificates under your belt. You should also see if you can do and internship with a wedding planner (prolly sometime during high school or college). And keep reading those bridal magazines to keep up with the trends. As someone else mentioned, it's a stressful job, for sure. I did it for a while, but discovered my real passion is just doing the flowers. Now I'm a wedding florist and I love it. Good luck to you, it's a wonderful field to work in.

  3. An Interior Designer could go into that profession. Or, take peace& whatever's advice. If you just do business you don't get the exposure to setting things up. You can learn the business on your own. Still consider what peace&whatever has to say. But I say you have to have some exposure to spacial planning.
