I want to be a writer....?

i have my story almost done and ive been told its really good, im editing it right now...anybody have advice on how to go about getting it published or just advice in general...thanks a lot guys.

You have to research which publisher would be interested in your genre of story and send it to them and keep your fingers crossed but if at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.Good Luck!

Read some author websites..particularily ones that write the same genres as you. They should have tons of advice on how to get published.

Buy a copy of a directory like 'The Writer's & Artist's Yearbook' which has a directory of publishers and agents who accept unsolicited manuscripts from unknown authors.

Make sure you understand how you need to submit it - e.g single-sided, double-spaced, a synopsis accopanied by the first 1000 words - and then start sending it out.
