  1. try doing boxing there r many streches u have to do before actually doing the sport. try butting your foot up and down . try streching. also try jumping on the trampoline. i use to do splits all the time. now that ive stopped streching its pretty difficult.

  2. There are A LOT of stretches that will help with your splits, so I'll just name a few. Sit with your legs straight in front of you and reach for your toes. If this is easy, flex your feet and try to keep your back perfectly straight so that your stomach is on your legs (this will stretch your hamstrings). Now sit in a staddle and reach forward. Again, try to keep you back straight and get your stomach on the floor (this will stretch your hamstrings and loosen your hips.

For side splits, lunge forward so you feel a stretch, be sure to keep your knee and heel in line. From here you can put both of you elbows on the floor on the inside of your front leg for a deeper stretch. Coming back up to your hands, drop your back knee, lift your back foot, and pull it in as close as possible. Drop this foot, sit back on it (keeping your front leg straight) and reach for your front foot. Repeat on the other side.

Try to hold all of these stretches for about a minute. Push yourself to where it is uncomfortable, but not too far so that it hurts.

Also, practice oversplits (putting your front, or side, foot on a block or something higher than the ground). Even if you are not flat this will help. Don't forget to do your splits after stretching!

And remember, stetching twice a day is the fastest and most effective way to achieve splits and keep you feeling flexible throughout the day.

I know this is a really long answer but I hope it helps :)

  3. gymnastics help a lot

  4. im a cheerleader so the way to do the splits should be similar. first off, practice the splits the RIGHT way. when you practice splits, keep your chest up and back strait, and have your knee and area where you would have shoelaces on your foot touch the ground. a good way to begin stretching is by taking a hot bath or shower for 10-20 minutes to loosen up your muscles. here are some stretches other than splits that you can do (hold all stretches for 30 seconds):

-get in a straddle position. reach to your left, right, and center each for 30 seconds. when you reach to the left or right, try to touch your nose to your knee.

-lunges. get in a lunge position (like someone who is proposing) with one knee up. straighten your back leg and move it farther away until you feel a stretch. keep the front leg at a 90 degree angle. repeat this on other leg.

-from the lunge position, bend your back leg into a 90 degree position, and straighten your front leg. put your nose to your knee.

i usually do those stretches in order and i have my left and right splits!
