  1. Dont know but cornell will be almost impossible to attend as a freshman cause its extremly hard to get into.  suny cobleskill is good though...it has an equine program that alot of people i know go to.  I hear its good.

  2. aTm in texas has the best vet school (in my opinion) i am totally going there and they have a really good juging team and a grat riding program.

  3. Delaware Valley College in Pennsylvania is really good.

I have also heard good things about Findlay University in Ohio.

  4. Cornell in New York, it is really hard to get into, but it has a great program for horses, in riding, and equine sciences, vet, etc. =]

  5. I would recommend Texas A&M!! Just so you know, chance you will make an equestrain riding team are very slim. The pople that make those are people that have won big shows, and are very succesful in the showing world. Good luck

  6. Colorado State University has a good undergrad equine program and one of the best vet schools in the US

  7. Centanery

its my dream to go there...please best answer this!

  8. Sweet Briar College!!! I could gush forever, but I'll give you some facts and then you can look it up yourself. It's located in Virginia, has an amazing riding facility and barn- all of which are on campus (the sweet briar campus is 3,000 acres!!) The riding program is aimed at hunter/jumpers, we have the second largest indoor ring in the US, an outdoor jumping ring, two hunt fields and miles of trails. You can bring your own horse (there are about 40 stalls available for private horse owners) and they have over 80 school horses which you can lease, lesson and show on. It is an all women's college (but no worries- two all male colleges are less than half an hour away =D) and of the student body- over 150 girls ride!!

And we have a hugely sucessful pre-vet program! In the past 10 years, 100% of the pre-vet students have gotten into the vet school of their choice and as a pre-vet undergrad, we have our very own advisor, Dr. Robin Davies, who you meet with personally, and often throughout your four years.

I am bringing my horse and going pre-vet at Sweet Briar, but I am also playing field hockey and double majoring in biology and classics. It's worth looking into! It may not have the big name, but it has an incredible academic program (don't take my word for it- look it up online in petersons) but you won't have to sacrifice what you love in order to become a vet and start your career!

I hope you take a look at it! I'll list the site below. Good luck! And good for you for starting early!

  9. OSU Ohio State University ...they have a good horse program i hear ...
