I'm going into my Senior year, I plan on going to GRCC into the two year nursing program to get my Associates Degree and then going back into a university and getting my Bachelors, But between that time i got back and get my Bachelors I was thinking of working as I'm getting that other degree, I really want to work in OB, and then with the bachelors I still plan on working in OB for a while and then maybe later going back and becoming a Midwife, So how do I get there???????

  1. That's one way to go about it, but you should be aware, depending on which states, some require mandatory additional training for license if you only have an ADN (associate degree for nurses) which will add another 1-2 years. And many OB nurse positions require a BSN. I suggest getting your ADN then go to a college that has an ADN to BSN program. Or, if finance isn't a problem, and you're a very intelligent person, go directly into the BSN program.

Once you obtain your BSN and work in OB, you may decide later if you wish to be a midwife or not. Your priorities may change at that time.
