  1. sign up for drama class at your school. see what you can do, and learn acting. after you graduate highschool then go to a university study acting, and see were it all takes you.

  2. Give yourself a good 2 years to build up your resume (a resume is a list of experience you have such as drama class at school, plays you've been in, etc..) Be in as many plays as you can at school, your local theater and do drama class at school after you've done that you might want to take professional class, check out local acting agencies near you and see if they have classes for beginners (search google for acting agencies in your area.. but here are two REALLY good ones John Casablanca, and John Robert Powers -- they cost money but they'll teach you a lot like how to put a resume together, head shots -- head shots are just a picture of you that you attach to your resume when you go on an audition -- an audition is were you try out to be in something like a play) Next you could get an agent -- an agent has the best source of information on auditions for commercials, TV shows, movies and more. Good luck :)

  3. Big Sigh.

First of all you're fortunate in that Chi town is that close. At 15 you'd have to have consent in any case.

I WANT,,, is an OK thing I guess, but it isn't like a Santa List.

A resume is a listing, in a format of all your related experience in theater.

Auditions are gatherings of people attempting to win a particular or general part, in a production. That would equate to the type of production, and likely you be told to have a monlogue, or a song prepared, to present yourself to a casting Director, or screening panel. Surely you've watch at least one episode of American Idol and their auditions.

    Just my 2 "scents"

  4. -Yes, sign up for drama class!  Take any opportunity for acting training that you can get.  This is the only way to get experience for your resume, so that you'll get bigger jobs.

-A resume is a written copy of experience, training, skills, awards, and contact information.  It is a very important element with any job.  Go here to find out more:  http://www.bestsampleresume.com/acting-r...

-Once you are enrolled in a class, have a resume & headshot, you are ready to start auditioning.  Check your newspaper, film commission, or local theatre for auditions.

-It is great that you live near Chicago.  There are many jobs and agents there.  Good luck!

PS.  Read books/Research like "Act Now" by Peter Jazwinski to find out more about becoming an actor.
