So far I guess I'd be called "in-experienced".

I guess I'm starting from the top.

I've been in a few plays, participated in camps and classes for acting, and a dance/cheer camp, and I'm gonna consider doing that for the rest of this year.

Can someone give me an explanation or like steps of what I can start doing now earlier in my life so I can have a better chance of being in films after college or even before?

  1. go to jail and cheat on your lovers

  2. Get as much experience and training as soon as possible!  Audition for as many plays (or even low-budget films in your area) as you can that you want to do.  But avoid cheesy stuff, try for the higher quality material that shows your talents at their best.  Try to do a range of roles, not just the same type of role over and over.  Keep doing the classes. Build up a network of contacts.

  3. It's going to be a tough road. People now a days, as you could tell, start really really really early. I meen, some celebrities started since they were babies or since they were toddlers as child models. I would say go to an acting class, then find an agent or an agency.

  4. If you are really serious about a job in the performing arts, you need an agent. Forget about walking around Hollywood and getting discovered, a professional who works for you is the only way to find REAL work.

Camps, classes, and local performances are great, but you NEED to live in LA or NY for serious chances to succeed. Go to college there, find a qualified agent, and good luck.

    Start working out.
