  1. I've been married to two flight attendants and they both made over $40,000, but that was 20 years ago.

  2. I'm sorry people are telling you NOT to do a job you would like to do.  Flight attendants do make good money, and they also get to travel, both when they are working and when they are off and just want to go somewhere ... and many of them do settle down and have families and children ... I've even had a flight attendant who was obviously pregnant on one flight ... you would have to stop working a bit earlier than normal, because they don't want you to go into labor while in the air, but they actually usually have good 'maternity benefits' and you could go back to work when you were ready ... so become a flight attendant if that is what you want.  Someone is needed to help passengers on air planes ... and it would be as ridiculous to tell you that it's 'bad money' as it would have been to tell me that I would make 'bad money' as a psychologist because my clients all had mental health problems ... well DUH ... no income is bad ... it may be 'lower' for some than others, but that is true no matter what you do, and I think if you do what you want to do, and you enjoy going to work, you will be happier, healthier, and live longer ... and that is definitely a 'benefit' this world needs more of.

  3. I think the people you have been listening to think that money is all there is in life. They probably also think they are worth a lot more than they really are. All jobs start out at the bottom of the pay scale.

You should go for it and try it out. Follow your dreams and when the "people" are still sitting at home and miserable you will be traveling the USA and living your dream. Good luck.

This info is a little out dated but you can get an idea

PS If you decide to do it don't go to a Flight Attendant School. The airline that hires you will train you the way they want you to be trained. Those schools are a ripe off.

  4. Go on line to the airline you'd like to work for and put in an application, when you fill it out  there is an area where it will show the job openings.......................it is good money, and if hired, a job of a life-time, if you only worked there for a short period of time, don't pass up the opportunity.

    It's great.......

  5. You should be what ever you want to be. If you take a job just for the money you'll regret it later when it's too late. If you don't settle down with a family any time soon, and you don't like your job, you can look for something else. It's easy to change jobs until your job is a priority (when others are depending on the money).

  6. ppl said i couldnt b a mechanic coz im a girl n il b workin in a sexist environment... becomin a mechaninc now n neva regretted it... do a job that in 20 yrs wen u goto get up at 5am itl still put a smile on ur face.
