  1. its hard to understand your question-if you are the artist than

go to a  local coffee shop you go to-talk to the manager about displaying your art work to sell-theyd have to receive a certain percent of it when you do sell it

also go to local flea markets-get a license to sell your work

and possibly visit small galleries to try to sell your work

  2. It's really wonderful that you want to promote this person's work.  What successful art dealers have that the rest of us tend not to have is connections to people who collect art, and a gift for selling them art which includes making them, the collectors, feel like special important people who are kind of being let in on a secret, convincing them that buying certain art is a smart move.  They also have to have a keen eye for art and for the kind of art that they believe they can sell.  A lot of it is a sharp business sense mixed with being about to court wealthy patrons all within the context of the allure of the sophisticated art world.

If you're a very outgoing assertive person, you may be able to convince a dealer to look at the work of this artist.  If you are persistent and if this artist is truly unusual, you may even be able to find someone to represent her, though I have to say the odds are against you.  Not that that is a reason not to try, though.

But to become an art dealer yourself would be a complete career commitment.   You would probably first need to learn a lot about art history and the current art market before even getting into the whole business side of the business.  So, I would suggest trying to find this artist a gallery rather than becoming her dealer yourself.
