  1. C'mon, you can be a fighter too. Don't you remember that there are different weight classes in a competition? In several combat sports, guys weighing from 112 lbs. to 125 lbs. are competing. Some are even champions. Most of these combat sports are boxing, taekwondo, muay thai, Wu Shu (sparring category) and even MMA mini-weight classes. Mini weight classes are called Fin weight, Fly weight, and Bantam weight. The training isn't different form what the big guys do. You'll also have the same routine as them. Being skinny has even it's own advantages. You're quicker and faster compared to those big ones. Well, if you wanna improve your body. I'd suggest you start a proper weight training and conditioning that is carefully supervised by a certified trainer. And if you don't like to be punched in the face. Well, I'm sorry. There's no other advice in training your heart and esteem, just go up there and and put your hands up.

  2. I don't see anything ultimate about that.

You can be a fighter, but not an ultimate one though.

In fact, there's not a lot out there who can be called 'ultimate'.

    Don't you think so?

  3. By "ultimate fighter" I'm assuming you mean you want to train in MMA and compete in events such as the UFC..

First of all, enroll in a training facility with experience in training MMA fighters.

As far as being skinny..  Get on a proper diet, pick up some weight gaining supplements and hit the gym.

As far as getting punched in the face.. no one likes it.  Well, at least no one I train with does, myself included.  Solution?  Train hard and don't get punched in the face.

    Good luck.

  4. what you should do is get one of your friends and let him punch you in the face a whole bunch of times and you wont mind getting punched after that and about you being skinny that's not really a problem in my opinion just look at Anderson Silva he's not the buffest guy ever and he's kinda skinny but he's a badass

  5. First lesson, there is no such thing as an "ultimate fighter." They are MMA (mixed martial art) fighters. And I doubt anyone likes to get hit in the face. Train in MMA, BJJ, Muay thai, or wrestling. BJJ , muay thai, wresting, are the main skills it takes to be a pro fighter.

  6. maybe you could be involved in some other way, like being a trainer or nutritionist for those guys.

  7. If you have the drive and you want to get started by all means get started!

No one likes getting punched in the face, dude. I hate it. I can't stand it. Yet I still train and compete in mixed martial arts. If you're going to get into this sport, you've just got to come to terms with the fact that you WILL GET HIT. There's no avoiding it at all. You are going to get hit, and it is going to suck. There are ways to get 'used' to it. Mainly sparring. Wear head gear, use 16 ounce gloves. When you're hit sparring that way, you'll get the shock of being punched, but it won't hurt. Gradually you'll become more comfortable with it. But don't let anyone tell you that if you train hard enough you won't get hit. It just doesn't work that way. You're going to get hit, all you can do is accept that fact, and get comfortable with it.

How skinny is skinny might be helpful? If you're more than 135 pounds nothing should hold you back. The lower weight classes, 135 and 145, are actually pretty active. There's a lot of good competition out there. Find a weight class that you'd feel comfortable in. Check out MMA events on tv and locally and 'size up' the guys in each division. See where you think you'd fit in and take it from there. Gaining weight can be as simple as lifting heavier weights, or taking a weigh gainer supplement. OR you can go old school and just increase your calorie consumption.

Anyways, your options are open. Just have to encourage you to give it a shot if you feel the pull.
