I want to be bff's with my parakeet!! :(?

Question

is there anyone out there that has a parakeet as their bff?? Then please help me, i cant even get him out of his cage, i think he still snaps at me, and i have no idea what games to play with him. i dont have anything to play with him with. Anyone have answers to all of these things??

Mine used to be a pest but we are best friends now, he bites and squawks at times, but that's only if he's in a bad mood or wants out to fly. I give him baths in my bathroom sink and then he crawls into my shirt with a small washcloth. He also gives me kisses and cuddles my face if I say "Kiss kiss!". It took about a year for us to be like this and he's 3 now, all it takes is training, love, and trust! Oh and if your bird gets messy or looks messy, give him the time in your bathroom (With the plug stopped up in the sink and tub, and the toilet seat down...) to wash up, you can help him by turning the water on barely and helping him scrub up and dry off. Just don't let him catch a draft while he's wet! Keep him warm after baths too. my bird makes a mess all over him and his perch, so I clean him up at least once a month, if you have the time, do it once a week, they enjoy the baths! Oh and make sure he has safe toys, and a few treats and cuttlebones.
