I want to be famous but live on a small city?

i live on a very small city in florida and am hoping to become a famous singer. it is my dream but i am very shy to sing with my real voice. i know i know, i have to do it or i will get no where with it i just need a confidience boost. but anyway, do you think that there would be any hope with it and what is your advice for me?

i would be so committed to it if i found the right agent and everything. oh and speeking of agents, there pretty expensive and my familes not made of money, so please just help me out with it.

I think it would be wise to take some voice lessons first. This is a good start, as your director would probably assist you in finding some kind of agency or representation as you continue to pursue your dream. Maybe a good start would be singing in church or entering a talent contest.

Move to a bigger city....find open mic nights...karaoke... look into singing for a band....it takes work...noone is just going to sign you to a contract without exposure.

Try voice over such as singing songs for ads, cartoons and even video games.  You will need an agent.  An agent is a must have, but remember they don't get paid till you get a contract.
