  1. Home schooling is not all fun and games. If you want a good education, make sure that you mom/dad are willing to enrich your education at home. Doing the book work is great, but homeschooling is all about bookwork. The reason MY family home schools is because we are able to do soooo much more educationally! We go to museums, historical monuments, study interesting things and LEARN SO MUCH!

Homeschooling is wonderful, but a lot of work.

  2. home tutoring, i'm not sure. but home schooling is good. there's lots of sites and books about home schooling. you should look into it. I had some of the same problems and home schooling really helps.

  3. Take heart!  There is life beyond high school.  Whether or not you are popular there just doesn't matter.

I think you have some good reasons to homeschool though.  It sounds like you would be motivated to study and complete your assignments.

The first thing you need to do is check out your state's laws:

You could choose either a textbook or online curriculum and complete it independently.  Here are some suggestions:

If you want to try some other ways of learning you may need more help/direction from your parents in the initial stages, but that could work as well.  Here are some other methods:

Here is some information about homeschooling you can share with your parents:

I agree that you should take a list of concerns to them, along with some information about homeschooling.

    Good luck, raffyx!

  4. Home tutoring and home schooling are two different things.  It sounds like you may be in Australia???  I don't know anything about homeschooling laws there, but the way you would start is to take your list of problems with your school and use it as a discussion starter with your parents/guardians.  Without their agreement that home-schooling is a possibility, there's no reason to go further.
