but i'm a little worried about the fitness portion of the requirements. the thing is i'm a guy 14 years old but i don't know how to swim. growing up trying to learn my dad instead of teaching me would push me under for a few seconds. but that's not why i haven't gotten around to learning. see i was born half deaf i can't hear **** out of my right ear but in my left i hear 2x as much as the average person and i'm scared of going deaf in ththeire even for a second sort of like the blind who enhance thier senses but not even a hearing aid would help since all of the inner workings that make up how the right ear picks up sound are like there but neve fully developed so not evendifferent i don't know sign language cuz i would be way too diferrent for comfort. and anyone i haven't shared this with don't can't tell because i hear them perfectly out of my left and when i listen to my ipod i put both buds in.

BUT ENOUGH OF MY SOB STORY THE MAIN THING IS I WANT TO BE IN THE FBI BUT I CAN'T SWIM WOULD THAT AFFECT MY CHANCES OF BEING HIRED EVEN IF I MET ALL OF THE OTHER REQUIREMENTS?

  1. FBI Agents have to be in top physical condition.

You can always learn to swim. Don't sweat it. It is very easy. Tthe American Red Cross probably has courses in your area.

Besides Agents, the FBI employs a lot of specialists and scientists.  The physical requirements may be easier for them. Check out the FBI website.

In addition to the FBI and other law enforcement agencies, you can be a forensic professional in one of many different areas, ranging from accounting to psychoilogy.  At 14, you have a little time to decide.  Look into the alternatives.
