I want to be in the Olympics?

I have never been interested in sport, but after watching the beijing olympics i really want to be in the 2016 ( as what ever i choose to do i deffo wnt be redy for the 2012) i am 14 & have just finsihed a school year, through that year i have never put as much effort into sport and p.e than any other year & i have started to really enjoy it and i am taking it for GCSE, the thing is i dont know what sport to do and train for for the olympics, i know i porbably have a hope in h**l to get to the olympics but i want to try, i can deffinetly not run, do javalin, or probably swim but can someone please help me & tell me how i can find out how to find my sport and even if i dont get into the olympics then at least i hae tried and stuck to one thing, do they do trampolinging in the olympics becuase i do that??

  2. that is fabulous, I say go for it - train, train, train!!!! Look at all the events and decide if it is something you can do - then just practise! Get some local club to sponsor you and go for it. anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Start local and small, and work up towards something bigger. Running and swimmng seem plausible, since I would think it is just a matter of training, building up your endurance to run or swim fast/ long distances.

    I personally don't care much for the Olympics, but I think if it encourages people to get active - all the better... good luck, and remember, you can do anything you set your mind to.

  3. How tall etc. are you, as that can be useful for some sports?

    i suggest you try shooting or archery

    2) Use these results to match up the sport.

    3) Join the national governing body for the sport that matches physical skills.

    4) Hire a coach.

    5) Get sponsorships, family funding,and/or scholarships.

    6) Compete in national tournaments and world tournaments.

    7) Visualize success.

    8) Walk into Olympic Stadium!
