  1. You still can eat healthily on a low budget, problem is now days every one just wants the convenience of fast food or pre cooked meals

get some mince lean or extra lean, can make shepherds pie, stews, try and find out where you can buy large sacks of potatoes, 25kg so you will have plenty of spuds in.try your local market

How about making your own bread, you don't need expensive bread making machines either the old fashioned methods work just as well, takes a bit longer but if you have a bit of time give it a go, more healthier than shop bought and cheaper too.

Get plenty of veggies in too, try your local market again plenty to go in your stews and with your dinners also can make soup with it as well ideal to go with your freshly baked bread

  2. go to a farmers market. you get all natural organic fruits and veggies directly from your local growers, and that is cheaper than any grocery store.

buy in bulk and freeze items that you can not use right away.

if you have to go to a grocery store only shop the outside perimeter. all of the tempting fatty treats are on the middle isles, and those guys are the expensive things.

eating healthy cost much less if you know how to do it.

  3. make 50-75 percent of your diet veggies the rest lean protein (beans are cheap), & whole grain carbs, like brown rice couscous, barley. most of the last 2 you can get dried in bulk that makes it cheaper. plan you meals around what you can get on sale.

  4. go to produce markets and butchers instead of groc stores
