I want to be published.?

Question

I'm 15, live in New York and I love poetry. I have won awards and contests for my poetry and I have a lot of pieces that are publishable. Looking online for contests and different publishing places is hard because a lot of them are scams. Does anyone know where I can send my poetry in to be published, or what magazines accept poetry. Thank you so much.

You might try Readers Digest.

poetry.com is kind of a scam because they want to get paid to  publish everyones poem in a book but they do have a contest where the better poem wins.  Try it,  you will get published on line and off.   Also ask at your local library,  librarians would know where legitimate and maybe non internet contests are.

New York Magazine, Playboy, etc. Seriously, there are a crapload of zines that publish works.

You can also try poetry.com. . . if ur poem is good, which im sure it is, they can publish you. and you also have the opportunity to win $10,000.
