I have horrible depression and anxiety when im around people in groups more than 1 or 2. I cry at night all the time.

My brain makes me think I have no friends yet I'm well aware I do.I feel so crappy. I've taken some lexapro before it was not prescribed to me but it helped.

  1. You have social anxiety or social phobia. I have that also, but havent been put on medication. If you want to talk to somebody, feel free to e-mail me! I probably have the same problems you have.

  2. Try counseling instead, especially a counselor specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy. They can really help with both depression and anxiety and there will not be the scary side effects of medicine.

  3. I take generic Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) in the evening - and that works very well for me.

The last time I went to see the doctor, I had lost 8 pounds.

I think the Wellbutrin SR helps to make me more active, and wanting to do things, while the Lexapro does seem to make me more docile - and taking it in the evening helps me go to sleep, too.

You might mention that to your doctor.  Wellbutrin and Lexapro work on different areas of the brain - so they kind of compliment each other.

It's no fun crying all the time - I've been there and done that.  I hope this helps...

Best of Luck to you :-)

    Paul.
