I want to be rid of my faxline but not my fax?

What options do I have for INBOUND faxes if I combine to 1

line (voice)

Outbound I just make the fax -a phone extension and let it rip

Oh what about my answering machine that kickoffs on the fourth ring

you get a feature called identi ring or distinctive ring...you will have your own seperate number for the fax machine without having a serperate line ( i work for the phone co...) hope it helps.

Have you thought of switching to a fax-to-email service?

I use one provided free of charge by my ISP. They have attributed me a separate voip number for incoming faxes and automatically email them to me in PDF format.

Plenty of web sites provide a similar service.
