  1. Go in and talk with a recruiter, they will be able to tell you for sure what you have to do.  That is what they are there for.  You can get all the advice online you want, but a recruiter will tell you the facts.

  2. If you are going into NAVY ROTC then your chances would be better with the NAVY as you already know the protocols, uniforms,  etc.

About all you can do right now is get the absolute best grades you can get in your classes,  do outstanding in the ROTC program and keep yourself physically fit.   If you are working on an arts degree,  dump it and go with a science degree,  preferably some kind of engineering.

Stay away from drugs.  Do not get a DUI.   Do not get in trouble with the law.   Do not get tattoos or piercings.

  3. Study, keep your grades up and learn as much math and science as you can.  Perhaps enroll in a few flying lessons at your local airport to see if you like flying.  Good luck!!

  4. Talk with the Commander of the NROTC Unit at the college you plan on attending, NOT a recruiter.

You will need to earn a degree in a hard science or math and do your absolute best academically and physically.
