  1. You don't need healthcare experience.  You'll need to find a medical college or teaching hospital to attend after getting your Bachelor's degree.  You'll get your experience during internships.  It takes almost as much education as a doctor to become a Physician's Assistant.  It's a great career with great pay.

  2. A physicians assistant is probably equal to a Masters Degree - you need many years of schooling to do this.

    Best luck.

  3. its generally 2-3 years of schooling (depends on school) after your B.A. or B.S.c.

Usually they need something to show you are really into it.

A few of my old college friends volunteered for about 9months to 1.5 year in various areas in a hospital, took the EMT certification course over a summer, then applied. On top of this you also need to get GRE and/or MCAT (depends on school some want both done, some want only one done).

I only know of the schools in michigan. (if you are willing to leave MA and go to another state then i suggest going to michigan's Central Michigan university program is the fastest in michigan (1.5-2 years (depending on what class you join [sept or jan])))
