I have been eating super healthy because I feel it's very important although i admit there are certain times that I get tempted! I am not a health freak I don't count calories but I do eat a lot of fruits veggies and steer away from junk food (which taste horrible to me anyway) and soda. I only get tempted to eat chocolate once in a while. I barely eat meat only chicken and I would like to stop that now. The two reasons for this is because I think it's disgusting what they do to animals and I really want to stop supporting it by eating them.

How to not be tempted to eat chicken / meat?

How do I get the same protean as I would get with meat?

Any good books on the subject?

And how to tell my parents (they know I don't like to but how to tell them I want to be a full flesh vegetarian instead of eating meat once in a while)?

    Use a substitute like eggplant in home made dishs

    Tell them BEFORE you become one they will get very mad if you didn't tell them before you became one. Read a lot of books on the subject and tell them the perk of being one

  2. For chocolate if the fruit thing doesn't work for you switch to carob. It's a little healthier.  

    For protein, rice and beans, tofu or any soy products, and nuts are loaded with protein.  Just be sure to get enough iron (leafy green veggies).

    I'd suggest a good veggie cookbook or 2. It's easy to get in a rut and get bored, this is when the temptation hits. As long as you're enjoying your food you won't miss the meat so much.

    As for your parents I would tell them honestly, but be sure you can show them you've done the research and know how to do it responsibly and safely.

    Don't tell them, show them. Buy your own food, prepare your own meals. Take the extra work off their shoulders as they have enough to deal with. After a while, when they see you mean busines and this is not just another fad the will come around.

    Fruit and smoothies are both actually great deterrents for chocolate cravings, believe it or not. Next time you have a craving for chocolate, enjoy a fruit or smoothie and watch the craving disappear.

    I would go with a vegan fake-chicken to satisfy your cravings, available at your local specialty grocery store.

    Beans and rice are both protein loaded and eating them together provides a tasty treat. Apples with peanut butter are also very healthy.

    Don't worry. Reading an entire book is really unnecessary.

    This is a difficult one. I would recommend acting like it's no big deal so they won't think it is. Next time you see one just say casually at the end of a conversation, "Oh, by the way, I've decided to become a vegetarian." If you don't make it a big deal, hopefully they won't either. Remember to stick to your beliefs and don't let them pressure you into eating meat.
