I want to become a Victoria's Secret model.

Question

I've always been told since I was younger that I should get into modeling so I am going to. My ultimate goal is to become a Victoria's Secret model. I am 5'6 and I have a great body. My question is what are the steps I need to take in order to achieve that. I am currently looking at the modeling in my area and trying to find an agent.

youre short but you know what the fashion industry is about change. if you practice really hard u can change the whole short model rule. if it is ur dream dont let anyone tell you anything and just go for it. its like plus size models there used to be like no such thing and it wasnt permitted to model unless ur anorexic lol but someone changed that and now there ARE plus size models. who says you cant do that for short models?? you can be a role model and change things in the fashion industy dont give up if u believe in yourself you can do it. work on your walk because that is a VERY important thing for a victorias secret model. watch americas next top model. sounds goofy but it will help u sooooo much. and finally practice in front of the mirror . know your strengths and know your weaknesses so you know what to improve on and you know what you are good at. i think anything is possible and even though youre short turn it into a positive. you may be short but you have a great body. dont give up and u can be the one that changes thing in fashion =(

If you love the idea of modeling, then go see an agent (don't pay anybody!)  The agent will take you on if you have potential and then you will need a portfolio and headshots.  If you do not have potential, they will tell you, BUT you can check out a few agencies.  You can also send head shots to agencies that are not close by.  Don't let anyone tell you that you are too short b/c some of those models are 5'6", but it will have to do with your look.  Those girls are super s**y with amazing figures, the general stick figure runway model doesn't even live up to their look.  You will not be a VS model right away, it would be something that you have to build up to and it is super competitive.  Go for it, but you will have to START elsewhere.  Start with agencies (and pay for headshots, any photographer will do them for you, though you may also want to pay for some 'modeling' type photos too).  What the heck - you have nothing to lose!
