I want to become a fan of baseball but i need a team to root for?

I was thinking historic teams lie the Yankees,Red Sox,And Cardinals? what do think?

Just watch some games and see which team you really like. I can't really pick for you because I don't know your favorite players and if you like pitching oriented teams or hitting oriented teams. If you can't decide, just pick the team in your state or city.

Cardinals have wopn more pennants and World Series than any tweam other than the Yankees.  Cardinals have the best and most knowledgable fans.  They will cheer is an opposing player for a great play even if it hurts the Cardinals.  Cardinal fans are not arrogant and rude like Yankee and Red Sox fans.  Cardinals are the best

If you watch baseball, you should really have one team that you should root for. It doesnt matter if they're winning or losing, It is when you watch a game and when a team scores, you feel like jumping or shouting, now thats what you should look for. or you should also root for you're local teams. Go with one of the young and upcoming teams with exciting players like Texas. If your picking from that, go with the Cards.

Danggiittt, how many times have I answered this question?  Well I'm going to tell you exactly what I've told all the others before you- You shouldn't need to ask which team you should "root for". I've been a huuuge Phillies fan since the age of 5 and that's never going to change. Unless you've been a fan like me since you were little, it's probably going to be pretty hard to really get into baseball. Personally, I hate people who start supporting a team just because they think they're going to win the world series. Don't let anyone tell you who to root for.

i have rooted for red sox since 1967 when i was 4.  in 1975 when i was 12.  in 1986, one strike away from world series victory, i was 23.  they lost the series every year listed, btw.

they have torn my heart out every year and i still love the uniform.  we were rewarded in 2004 and 2007.  now that manny is gone, good things are coming our way, but remember a true fan does not root for a team only when they do well.  learn to love the fundamentals of the sport and you will love the game first and revel when your team plays hard and executes properly.

Historic teams are fun to root for, but its even funner to root for young teams to make history.  The Colorado Rockies is one of the youngest teams in baseball and one of the most underrated.  They are fun to watch and most people have nothing against them.  Watch a couple games on MLB.TV and decide for yourself.  Hopefully you can love them as much as I do in the future!
