  1. bjj is NOT like all of them rolled into one. it is groundfighting and thats about it.

whoever said they learn 'parts" misses the point. they all have an ongoing study of muay thai, and an ongoing study of bjj...and an ongoing study of wrestling...etc...they dont just learn part or this or that art. even then it isnt so bad as long as you have a solid base. why would i need to learn the entire art of wing chun if all i want to learn is the trapping aspects of it to add to my game?

id choose the mma, muay thai, kali...etc

the only thing available at the other school that isnt available at this one is karate.

honestly...choose the one you feel most comfortable training in. choose the one with the best teacher with the most experience. choose the one that fills your needs best.

  2. i would say the one wiht muay thai, whin cung, kali

i love all these martial arts (well dont like mauy thai much its to much like boxxing but i like useing the techniques from it.)

  3. well when a gym is dedicated to one style its probably the best place to get the most of that style the second gym offers different styles and  can offer various choices try learning ground style - jujitsu and a stand up style - muy thai to have a balance also try learning the basics of one style before you try to learn another it takes time and patience but its possible to become great

  4. Yes, you can learn three at once. BJJ is just those other things wrapped into one but with some bullshit attitudes, just pick one and commit. Think about this, anything involving grappling and utilizing a gi is not going to translate as well to the streets unless you plan on wearing a gi all the time. Good Luck.

  5. none of them get a concealed carry permit buy a 1911 or .357 and never worry about fighting better to be judged by twelve then carried by six

  6. Probably the MMA gym. I myself wouldn't do it because I like to learn the entire martial art instead of just a few pieces of it. As far as I know MMA just takes bits and pieces of different martial arts.  I just takes multiple martial arts at the same time. That way I can master several of them before I get old. lol.... I'm 15.

  7. why wold you need to know how to fight?
