  1. Hopefully you are already an accomplished athlete in the sport you'd like to coach.  Other than that, probably Psychology would be the most relevant major, as that is a major part of coaching a succesful team of diverse players.

  2. football coaching

  3. Can I give you an honest answer?

Most coaches of teams are likely guys who have had experience playing either college or NBA ball. There are other ways to get into sports teams, and that's to major in sports management or physical therapy, some junk like that. However, it's a big gamble as to whether or not you'll make it big or just work some crummy job at a high school or semi-pro team with a bare bones budget.

Why don't you just try to get a law degree and spend your summers interning with talent agent firms or sports teams. That way, you'll have great credentials for getting a job with a team.

  4. Your best bet is to major in Physical Ed., then get a job coaching in high school. Get experience at every level, and then BINGO! you're in the NBA.

  5. They usually give those jobs to people who have connections, you just can't become a head coach.  You have to work your way up the ranks.  Just find a way in!
