I love shrimp, so I cannot become a vegetarian. I have made up my mind I didn't want to eat another mammal whenever I saw a chicken get killed and butchered. It wasn't just because it was gross, but because I love animals. I take AG class and my teacher made 2 classmates break a chicken's neck and drop it on the floor. It was so sad. I couldn't look at it. He said we'll be doing bigger ones too! Please help, after seeing this I realized that the meat I ate was just too gross!!!! I don't want to see another animal die and I don't want to eat land animals. Please help me!

-Thanks, Scott

  1. you should probably cut down gradually, starting tomorrow eat a little less of meat and more of fish. then eventually cut down to no meat and there ya go!

    hope i helped!

  2. Get over your little bleeding heart self!  You think a shrimp doesn't cry when you pull it out of the water and essentially suffocate it?  Just because you "love them" you are willing to look the other way, but you will let some stupid teacher affect your entire eating lifestyle?!  Chickens commercially raised are NOT killed that way, which is the old-timey way of doing it, when they ate meat once a week on Sundays.  Grow up and grow a spine.

  3. It's best to treat it like a Band-Aid.

Stop everything at once, and don't look back.

I went from eating pork chops and hamburger and chicken nuggets almost everyday to vegan overnight, and it's been one of the best decisions of my life.

But you should know that sea animals suffer too, and that taste is no excuse to keep on supporting murder. Aquamarine life does feel pain. Besides, if we keep overfishing the oceans at this rate our waters will be empty by 2050.

I really encourage you to research this before you start, just by googling Vegetarianism and maybe even Veganism. Watch Meet Your Meat, stay clear of PeTA, and start living cruelty-free.
