I want to become a real estate agent.. help?

i am still in high school but when i graduate i plan to go into real estate.. does anyone know a site i can go to with all of the information?

i need to know what college classes would be good and what all is required to get a license

You dont need any college.  You basically go to a real estate school for about 4 to 5 weeks  and then you take the real estate exam then presto...you are a real estate agent.   When I got my license back in 2002 it cost 400 bucks for school and 100 to take the test.  Most expensive part is signing up for the MLS.  I think they stuck me for about 1300 bucks to become a member plus you gotta pay like 100 bucks every 3 months for your super key and all that junk.

Gotta say though that if you want to make money in that business, be prepared to work 12 hour days 7 days per week and hope you can handle stress well.    Oh there is something you could do.   Read a good book on time management...because you really have to be organized in that department.

what state do you live in?  All states have different requirements...

I live in California and here all you have to take is a real estate ethics and principals class and then you can take the exam....there are many community colleges that offer real estate classes that will help you prepare for this test and for your career.

.   No college classes needed at all.  You will learn everything you need from the broker at the company you work for.  Bill Gates dropped out and look how he turned out.  Take your realty school test. Then pass the state test.  THen join us.  It's a fun career.

You could take Economics classes.

Google it.  There should be a lot of info.  But I am not sure if it's a promising profession now a days - not only because of real estate slump, but also due to so many online sites doing an agent's job./
