I want to become a reporter. How do I start?

Im in high school. What classes should I take to help me become a reporter? And any ideas what I could report about? I have a couple ideas... but need more.

Finish high school.  Attend college and major in drama.  Reporters today are all about drama.  Good Luck.

Take your student newspaper, and again at your college or university. That way you can get use to meeting deadlines with a boss. Then in college take their student newspaper and COM/Journalsim classes to get to know the subject better. Remmember your job as a reporter is not to ask the questions, but to get the subject to tell you the angle you want in your story.

Also when you do those classes and newspaper see which subjects you like reporting on, some like news, some like arts, some like sports. Profiles are my favorite but to each her/his own.
