Does anyone know how that can work out? I'm currently a junior in high school right now and I can't figure out how exactly it could work out. I know it costs a lot of money but I have always wanted to work in the health field to help people and I find being a surgeon would be a great experience. If you have any ideas please just let me know. (:

  2. I'm not sure about the AF but the Army has every job you there is in Civvy life. You can be in the medical Corp.

  3. Join the AF as a medic.

  4. Don't do Air Force for medical, because my cousin Jeff which is an air force recruiter was talking to me about how the quota for medical is filled to the roof with many applicants and you can't get garunteed that area of your career. If anyone can back my statement up, it'd be nice.

  5. Qualifications:

    • Must be a U.S. citizen between the ages of 18 and 60

    • Must have obtained or be in the process of obtaining an M.D. or D.O degree

    • Fully qualified physicians should have at least one year postgraduate training and a license to practice medicine. A board certification in your specialty is preferred but not required

You have to come in as a MD already otherwise you would enter enlisted and train to be a nurse equivalent.
