I want to become an actor I have no experience and I'm only 14, can you give me advice or tips?

I was thinking I could be in one of the Disney Channel shows. I've always dreamed of being like Miley Cyrus or the people that act on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I have no idea how to get noticed or anything. I live in a Missouri so theres not much I can do...can anyone help me?

First of all, don't try to be one of these people. Try to be unique, be you. If you want to be in a show, dream to be in your own show. Basically, find monologues to practice. Get them perfect. Being in school plays helps a lot! Good luck!

Well one of the best things you can do right now, with no experience or anything like that, sign up for an acting class or whatever. After that, apply for an agency (those will get you calls for commercials and little things like that, but you have to make sure it's not a scam because some agencies will just keep you paying and paying [like asking for taking new pictures/shots many times] even though you're not going anywhere) which will give you even more recognition and experience. From there, it'll be much easier.

As for looking for an agent..you can always use google or stuff like that, maybe some directory/community book with all the numbers and services, but then again...watch out :P

Don't try to be them just because they are famous, do it because you really want too. Try to take acting lessons and be in community plays and if you think you are good enough try to get an agent.

well you should take drama or theater in your highschool or middle school and you need to have lots of heart and passion. and you have to be really comiteed to it because if you do make it your probably gonna have to move somewhere like los angelas or new york big acting oppurtunities like that because depending on where they decide to shoot the film is where you will end up. good luck hope this helps and your really determined commited and passionate about this

Just be yourself. No one discovers you... You discover yourself. The key point is to be an artist. Just pursue it, perform, perform in any possible play to get seen by as many people possible... You also have to identify a style that you want. A person, group, or company that really make you think "I want to do that". Find a way to practice with their technique (and i said practice, besides study). practice is finally what will get you on stage in a solid way. Make yourself clear if you want either a JOB or an artistic activity that will make you happy. Being notorious is not necessary being talented, or, even worse, it will make you compromise many ethical things that you might not like to do or act in plays that you dont really like. The commercial circuit not always cross roads with the pure artistic lane, so you have to be focused in what you deeply wish. If you are really serious, your family will support you. Welcome!
