I want to become an actor how do i do it??

ok im thinking of acting an i have no idea how i start i want to be great for when i audition but how do i do i have to call first somewhere or what do i have to do???

Hire an agent and try out for local plays or other acting tryouts

If you have actor friends, ask them to give you the names of the best acting teachers in your city.  

Or, call the Theater Department of the Universities in your city and ask for names of acting teachers.

Look on the website of the

Community College and see if they have acting classes.

First off, you'll have to understand that showbiz is very competitive and that you might not make it to the top. So, don't get into acting if you're looking for money or fame, but only if you love to do it. If you have a passion for it, go for it.

While it's possible to practice acting by yourself, working with a professional makes the process much faster. Apply in acting schools/courses around you. Maybe a summer acting course? This will help you jumpstart your career. After getting familiar with the art, you can go to auditions to try your luck and put your talent to test.

You don't have to have an agent at this stage. Try mandy.com and check if you have any casting calls close to you. Or do a google for "Casting Calls". You might find auditions in your area.
