  1. 1. be in all the plays you can, 2. if you show talent by doing step 1, take some professional classes. 3. continue doing the first two steps until you have a strong resume. 4. get an agent. 5 continue to build your resume.6 get very lucky.

  2. take lots and lots of acting classes to make u better, get into theater at schooll and do the plays..get an agent..and they can start finding u little jobs at first and then u will get ur shining moment in something haa

  3. First, live in an area where "it" happens. For instane, LA/Hollywood. You need to audition, and the casting directors give you a day (if that) to know that you've been chosen for the audition. So, if you want to act, choose a place to live where you can consistently make it to the auditions. If you consistently (or sometimes just once) skip auditions, you will be "blacklisted."

If you live near LA (or your major Film/TV/Stage city of your choice), YES, go to acting classes! (Always go ... they keep you on top of your game.)

Get great headshots! 8x10s (not 8x11s) with 70-80% head and no distracting background ... and a background that does not blend in with your hair. Smiling with teeth are best for commercials (REAL smile). And, theatrical should show your personality (real!).

Make appointments with agents. B agents that have a good reputation with the casting directors and are SAG affliated, are fine for beginners ... they WILL get you out, if you are not blacklisting yourself at auditions, and to great paying job auditions. But, make appointments with the As and Bs.

Prepare yourself ... whiten your teeth, take care of your acne, get a great, stylish haircut (unless you are a character actor).

    Network!!!!

Put yourself on LACasting.com and ActorsAccess.com (and, yes, get their premium services ... they are the best).

Get a job to support yourself like waitering (great pay for a flexible job) or Extra/Background work (not great pay, but gets you experience in the industry ... but almost never will get you noticed by the director, etc).

Read The Networker on LACasting.com .

Get Improv lessons at someplace like LA Connection Comedy or Groundlings or Second City.

  4. well if your over 13 i say skip all the acting classes. if you KNOW that your an good actress then you dont need to get better because your already at your best. BUT there is always room for perfection. i say look around the web for an TRUSTWORTHY, talent agent. an agent, faith, and GOD is all you need on your path to stardom.

    GOOD LUCK
