I want to bet on the kentucky derby?

Hi everyone i want to bet on the kentcuky derby today but i hav never done it. There is a local place where i can place my bet but i dont know who to bet on. Which horses should i bet on and do i just give the person at the window a list of horses or what? Please help ive never done this before. Thanks alot.

I've never bet on a horse race either, but this year I'd put money on Big Brown or Pyro as a long shot. Both horses are great.

Depends on where you live.  You can bet at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky (I'd advise against that today).  Or you can go to twinspires.com (a Churchill Downs company) which is free to sign up and no minimum bet.  I just heard of that one recently and it seems the best place in my opinion.  

I'm betting on Denis of Cork, but that's only because my local station (wave3 here in Louisville) said they like him (I don't know their reasons).
