Ideally we'd stay in Canmore, Banff or Kananskis. Hotels will allow you to book a suite but they do not specify an age limit for children - ours are 16, 15 etc.

  1. You should be 18 to rent a hotel room. They will check your id upon C/I. Or call the hotel to find out what their policy is.

  2. Anyone 16 and over is considered an adult (and so of course anyone 15 and younger is considered a child).

The rates are the same for 1-2 adults.  Additional adults may increase the rate.  No charge for children.

  3. You might want to consider staying in Canmore, Alberta, which is about 10 minutes outside of Banff. It will be a little cheaper, however, the rooms fill up fast, so you may want to book something soon.

  4. They consider 18 adults, but I'm sure some hotels will have discounts for 13/10 and under.

I'm not sure, but I'm assuming you're also asking about hotels, too.

Banff Rocky Mountain Resort is much like a small condo, there are rooms and kitchens, too.

For a good cheap hotel, try Radisson.
