There are two good sites for this:  "eRail.in", and, "icrtc" (or is it "irctc -- ind rly catering&tourism, yes, it is "irctc.com"). Just go to the site, user-friendly, easy to use!  (But, friend, why not go to Mangalore from Shoranur, by any one of the many day trains available!) Happy journey! (trains from Chennai and from Trichy to Mangalore, and Parasuram Xp. from TVM/ERN, to Mangalore, are all day trains!)
