I want to book shows for local bands, i need advice.?

What i really need to know is how to go about booking them, and how and where to find locations for the shows.

the 2 main things you need to do are:

1) find out what venues are in the area. This is definitely a must. There are loads of shows you can get booked onto just cause the venue knows the band exists.

2) find other bands. If you create friendships with similar bands there will definitely be shows played with them.

if u ever see a band playing in an area near that plays good, dont be araid to ask them if they would like to participate in a show....

also go to guitarcenter... they always have local bands listed that want to play!
