I also want to experience sparring and boxing against others. I just joined a boxing gym, and I feel like I have a lot of heart for the sport. How should I approach this endeavor? Are boxing gym staff supportive of girls who wanna box?

  1. go to a boxing gym and talk to the trainer. you can email amateurboxing.com and she will be able to tell you of a good gym in your area

  2. Don't listen to what any guy has to say, if you want to box then go for it. I too am into boxing and have joined a great gym and am having a great time. Don't let anyone bring you down. Some gyms are more supportive of girls boxing than others. Most though, enjoy seeing woman come in (a bit too much) which causes other problems. I had my first trainer hit on me to the extent that I had to leave and find a new gym but now I'm very happy. I have been told I couldn't do many of the things I've successfully accomplished because I'm not manly enough. Well, I race motorcross, work on cars, weld, and box and am having the time of my life doing it. There is nothing better than whooping a guys *** on the dirtbike track haha. Aside from that, I also model and am a shopaholic, so I do truly enjoy the best of both worlds lol.

Girls are a lot tougher than guys give us credit for. I think the whiny, wimpy girl thing is just an act a lot of girls pull to make a guy feel as though they are needed. My boyfriend used to always love the fact that I could change my own tire and not cry to him about it lol!

Best of luck with everything though!

  3. with an attitude like that it wouldnt suprise me if u **** men

  4. women!

you were made to make babies and clean the kitchen.

are you sure you meant spar and star?

    hahaha

you are all worthless and weak.

    men are superior

  5. If you want to do it, do it.  The only way to find out if the staff is supportive is to do it.  And even if they are not supportive, so what?  In the ring, all you have is yourself.  If people are supportive or not, you're still alone in the ring, so protect yourself at all times and punch your opponent liberally.

  6. Well that's good that you have heart for the sport. But make sure that you are not afraid of getting whoop real bad cuz there is a possibility that this might happen. Also, there should be staff that support girls that wanna box. Who ever said that boxing was just for guys. And if they wont help you then remember that there are many other boxing gyms out there. Just to let you know, I'm a boxer and to tell you the truth I have seen some girls beat the c**p out of some guys. So you could do the same thing and prove them wrong. lol
